The mask is made of tumbaga, a gold and copper alloy of golden color. It's made of one thin plate that has been hammered and embossed. The form is a human face, with a rounded form and the top part cut horizontally. The most characteristic elements are almond-shaped eyes, a wide nose, and a thin horizontal mouth; the eyes and mouth are embossed on the plate.
