| The Masa arms, Cameroon. Early twentieth century A.D. Wicker and wood. Size: 90 x 51 cm. Coat with front fastening woven wicker and carved wood back, designed to cover much of the body, or the warrior in full, if it is bent. The shield was topped with a bow front top, while the base is straight in order to be easily supported on the floor. It has two notches on the sides at half height, to increase its strength. | ||||||
