Armas Imports is a direct importer of Japanese antique furniture and decorative accessories, located in the Southern California coastal community of Oxnard. Our specialty is 19th and early 20th century Japanese tansu chests, which we personally select in Japan, and carefully restore using traditional techniques. Visitors can browse our retail showroom, which features beautiful furniture, antique porcelain and earthenware, traditional tea articles, ikebana floral display accessories, Mingei folk art, antique Buddhist and Shinto worship articles and much more. In addition, customers can peruse dozens of tansu in their original patina, and see firsthand the process by which they are lovingly restored.
The retail showroom is open for viewing by appointment only. Flexible hours are available, including most evenings and weekends. We are conveniently located to both the 101 Freeway and the Pacific Coast Highway, approximately midway between Santa Monica and Santa Barbara.
