Vintage pair of Japanese ceramic or earthenware tea bowls, or chawan. These beautiful bowls feature vertical striping in subtle yet vivid hues of brown and gray with highlights of gold and green. Each chawan measures approximately 3" tall and 3 3/4" in diameter at the rim. They both bear the artist's signature stamp near the bottom, and are in excellent condition. Showa-Period

Vintage Japanese hari bako sewing box. Dark lacquered case; decorative drawer fronts feature richly figured burl wood veneer. Removable kiri drawers designed to fit snugly into space under hinged top. Includes extensive period items, including measuring tape, rulers and spools of thread. Vintage Japanese ceramic tea set, late Showa-Period (c.1980). Natural green and off white glazes typical of the Oribe region, an area renowned for its many kilns and expert artisans. Teapot with handle, lid and spout, spouted bowl, and five small tea cups. Excellent condition. Teapot measures roughly 3 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches in diameter. Vintage Japanese ceramic or earthenware bowl. This bowl hails from the Seto region of Japan, renowned for its many kilns which produce fine earthenware, known as yaki. The bowl features an earthtone crackled glaze and indentations along the rim. There are kanji written on the bottom in relief against a pale red color. This piece is in excellent condition and measures approximately 2" tall and 5 1/2" in diameter at the widest part. Showa-Period (c.1960).
