Vintage Japanese ikebana floral display vessel, fashioned from a large section of bamboo. The vase is decorated with a village scene, carved into the carbonized bamboo. Showa-Period (c.1960). The back of the vase has split significantly, about 1/2 an inch, but the decorated front is in relatively good condition, with only a bit of slight surface checking. The split has not affected the stability or overall structural integrity of the vase. 13 1/2 inches tall by 4 inches in diameter.

Vintage set of Japanese ceramic or earthenware tea bowls, known as Chawan. This set includes five dainty teacups, another small cup with a indented rim for pouring, and a small service pot with handle and spout. The five small cups measure roughly three inches diameter at the rim, and two inches tall. The pouring cup measures 3 3/8" diameter, and 1 3/4" tall. Vintage Japanese pair of porcelain sake tokkuri, rice wine decanters. These items date to the early Showa-Period (c.1950), and are in excellent condition. They feature depictions of cranes (tsuru), tortoises (kame), and pine trees (matsu) in vivid blue glaze against a white background. Both tokkuri are signed by the artist on the bottom. Each vase measures approximately 5 1/4" tall and 3 1/4" in diameter at the widest part.

Antique Japanese Ko Dansu, a small decorative storage chest. Constructed primarily Kiri, or Paulownia wood, this quaint little chest features a deep red lacquer, accented by black and gold lacquer on the sliding doors. It measures approximately 21" wide, 11" deep and 12 1/2" tall, and is in overall good condition. This item dates to the early Showa-Period (c.1930).

Miniature antique suzuri bako, or Japanese calligraphy set. This unusual example of suzuri bako was likely designed for use when traveling, and contains all the necessary components of a complete calligraphy set. Vintage Japanese ceramic sake tokuri, a rice wine decanter. This tokuri hails from the Seto region of Japan, and area renowned for its many kilns which produce fine earthenware, known as yaki. It features an off-white background glaze with speckles of brown, similar to the Shino-yaki style. The item dates to the early Showa-Period (c.1950) and measures approximately 6" tall and 3" in diameter at the widest part. It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.

Vintage Japanese fukuro obi kimono sash, mid Showa-Period (c. 1960). Front features geometric design in gray-silver palette. 12 inches wide by 170 inches (14' 2") long. Back of the obi is undecorated, ivory colored. Fair to good overall condition; no holes or rips, but some smudges on the back. Very likely could be remedied by dry cleaning with a trusted service.
