Compact and charming woven bamboo basket, or hanakago used in the Japanese art of floral arrangement and display known as Ikebana. This finely woven and detailed basket dates to the Taisho-period (1912-1926) and is in excellent condition. This style of hankago is designed to hang from a braided loop on the back of the neck. It comes with its original kiri wood box. The basket measures 7 1/2" tall by 6" wide by 3" deep.
