Antique Japanese carved granite ishi usu, a large bowl used for grinding rice into flour. This substantial urn dates to the late Edo-Period (c.1850), and is in excellent condition, with minimal loss and extensive buildup of moss and lichen. Perfect for a garden accent. Ishi usu measures roughly 11 inches in diameter at the base,20.25 inches diameter at the rim, and 11 inches tall. It weighs about 187 pounds.
