Antique kiri wood tabako-bon, a traditional Japanese smoking set. Similar to a small hibachi, this quaint little item is crafted from prized kiri, or paulownia, wood, and features images of butterflies and flowers in gold "kin makie" lacquer. It has two copper inserts, and is in very good original condition. This item dates to the Taisho-Period (1912-1926), and measures roughly 6 1/2 inches in diameter, and three inches tall.
