Japanese earthenware sake tokkuri, antique rice wine jug, Meiji-Period (c.1900). Off-white background glaze, decorated with kanji in dark brown. Good overall condition; normal wear and tear. Small chips on the mouth (see enlargement five) which appear to be quite old. No cracks or fissures. Approximately ten inches tall by five inches in diameter at the widest point.
