A rare, ancient Urartian bronze belt, dating to the 8th-7th Century BC. The belt of sheet-like form, with peripheral perforation holes for attachment of original fabric lining, now perished. Decorated throughout with raised ridges and incised geometric decoration of remarkable detail. The original ring-buckle, often lost, is present here. An extremely rare ancient glass Islamic cupping instrument, dating to the 11-13th Century. The cupping instrument is of pale green glass, with applied spout emerging from the bottom and arching upwards. The ancient technique of cupping involved heating the air on the inside of the cup, by insertion of a burning rag or other such material. The cup was then placed on the patient's body and the air allowed to cool, in so doing reducing in volume and drawing blood upwards and into the cup. ...click for details

A very rare pair of bronze Chariot Linch Pins, dating to the Western Zhou Dynasty, around 1000 BC. The pins have tiger faces and would have once adorned a burial chariot, vertically inserted into the axle hub, fixing the wheels onto the chariot.
