The Art and Orchid Gallery's pair of tall colorless Art Nouveau Period glasses are engraved on all sides and mounted in silver overlay.[41A, 99B] A grape plant motif grows over the surface of these serviceable pieces of art glass. Three patterns of grapes on stems are engraved in the top half of each glass. The bottom half of the glasses are encased in silver in patterns of grapes, vines and leaves. This round boite-a-rouge (box for rouge) has a pierced brass-a-cage mount over carved cobalt blue glass.[84A, 97B] This vanity objet de vertu shows a hand painted miniature of a lady on blue glass in a floral brass chased mount, French school.[97C] The remainder of the hinged cover is a machine spiral pattern on which four brass appliques, made of cartouche scroll and flower arrangements, have been annealed.
