This Persian raised brass tas (bowl) with cut out and engraved decoration is similar to Timurid Dynasty (1369-1500) style brass bowls.[161A] Notably this object has a resemblance in shape and size, within a few centimeters, to referenced 14th and 15th Century Iranian bowls of brass. These referenced examples [161A, 107B, 110C] use inlaid black composition, whereas our tas has cut out backgrounds.
