Colima, Ca 200 BCE to 200 CE. Very fine and rare stone axe head carved of basalt with human head to one side, rounded axe on opposite and raised nodes in between - deep grrove where once attached to wooden haft. 7"L x 3"H. Custom stand. Intact and excellent with single chip to blade.
Guerrero, Mexico, Ca 500 BC. Fine green stone mace head with string cut grooves for tying onto a wooden shaft looking like and probably representing some form of animal. Mayan, Late Pre-Classic to Classic, ca. 200 BC to 200 A.D. Stemmed blade made from Colha Chert, found in northern Belize, from the Central Mayan Empire.
