Greek, Apulia, ca 350 BC. Beautifully potted and painted pottery skyphos in the style known as St. Valentine's. Upper section decorated in series of diamond patterns, lower in Gnathian style with added white pigment. 3-7/8"H x 5-3/4"W handlespan, restored handle, else choice.

From the Greek colony of Canosa located in southern Italy, ca 325 BC. Very large and fine leaping terracotta horse covered with typical white slip, showing incredible realistic details and movement. Mounted to custom lucite base. One of the finest examples we have seen! 6-3/4"L x 5-3/4"H, appears to be intact/excellent.

Black glazed pottery Epichysis / Prochous decorated with ivy wreath on body and rays on shoulder, Lion head at base of handle (lion missing on other). Greece, Hellenistic, Canosa, ca. 2nd / 1st Century BC. The boy God of Love depicted naked playing a lyre, his body turned to provocatively display his buttocks. 4-1/4"H, upper portion of lyre missing plus some roughness as expected, else very good.

Rare form! Greek, southern Italy, Gnathian, Ca 4th century BC. Terracotta bottle-shaped vessel with ovoid body with broad shoulder with twin handles, then tapering into high flaring neck; black-glazed, body incised with vertical bands. Just under 5"H, rim broken/re-glued with section missing, neck repaired, plus overall glaze wear (can be restored to original condition - email for details). Lid painted in red-figure style with series of two Lady of Fashion in profile and two palmette panels.
