A wonderfully colorful tea bowl with hare's fur glaze. Bowl sits on a slightly raised pedestal and tapers outward to rim. A colorful burst of blue, green, and orange shoots out from the center of bowl, where there is an eye-like shape, and fades out towards the rim into a tannish-orange color. Far East, Japan or China, Late 17th to early 18th century CE. Of tapering pear shape, raised on a tall foot (reminiscent of the archaic Hu form); has beautiful floral and scrolled design throughout border over white and turquoise backgrounds. Handle has figural fish head/water beast terminals where connects to jar. Chop mark on the base indicating the maker. 9"H (23cm) x 6-1/8"W (15.5cm). In near-choice condition with lovely patina on the exposed bronze elements.

China, Qing Dynasty, Ca 18th to 19th Century, a large carved granite table on four legs, with carved foo dogs crouched on top. These "foo dogs" are guardian lions who are charged with protecting the writer using the ink stone. Incised floral pattern along sides. Impressed three petal ink older between dogs. 6-1/2"H x 12"L x 7-3/4"W. Intact with surface wear.

A very fine bronze mirror of square form decorated with floral pattern on one side, other still retains much of original silver finish, small loop to accept a cord so this could be worn about the neck. 4" L/W.
