Cambodia, 12th century CE. Once attached to a frieze with reverse plain/flat. Buddha wearing flared crown with conical headdress, his ears with long earrings, mounted on custom stand. Wear as shown but a wonderfully expressive sculpture! 8-1/2"H, not counting stand.

Central Asia, Seljuk Dynasty, ca. 800 - 1000 AD. Solid bronze lion in alert position with his head pointed forward, mouth slightly agape, forepaws outstretched in front of him, hindlegs tucked. A small ridge separates the mane from the back, but note the incised detailing of the mane!
