El Salvador, Ca 500 to 900 CE. Cute! Terracotta bowl from this still, little-understood part of the extended Maya empire. Flare-rim bowl, decorated in red, orange and black with repeating band of seated lords or scribes, each with their hands extended and hook-like glyph emerging from the tops of their heads.
