Fabulous detailing! Ancient Pre-Columbian Mace Head from Costa Rica, Nicoya culture, ca. 500 - 1000 A.D. Striated greyish-green marble with veins of white and dark green, carved with a hollow, slip shaft body and relief bird's head extending (possibly an eagle).
