Roman Lead Votive Plaque
Such detailing! Ancient Roman Lead Plaque, ca. 1st-3rd century A.D. Rectangular cast plaque decorated in relief with various elements, including a double-handled vase, fish, two human noses, two chalices, two shields and two cones. Overall pinkish-tan surface patina. Votive plaques like this one were designed to be left at temple, or be placed in the home (in a religious sense). 3-5/8"L x 2-1/16"H x 1/8"D, not including custom mount, a few ancient surface scratches under the patina, otherwise intact/excellent condition.
