| This is a cast copper sword to a large Tibetan sculpture of the wrathful deity Begtse. Begtse is one of the Buddhist protectors and seen as the lord of War. He usually will hold a scorpion handled sword such as this in his hand. This sword is cast in two parts, the scorpion and the blade. the tip of the blade is flaming and gilt. This dates to the 18th century and measures 11 3/8 inches (29cm). | ||
