A wonderful pair of rare 19th century black staffordshire cats. Jackfield type glaze on red earthenware with some gilt highlights. Small chip to the ear on one, some glaze bubbles and thin spots, otherwise very good condition. Slight difference in heights. Both approximately 7 1/4 inches high. Circa 1870.
