A large brown and white Transferware "Colandine" pattern platter. Printed Royal Arms mark with "F. Primavesi & Sons Cardiff, Swansea, & Newport". Primavesi was a major retailer in Wales during the second half of the 19th century. I believe much of their pottery was made by Swansea pottery for them. Overall crazing, and underglaze rim chip, other wise very good condition. 18" wide, 14.5" high, circa 1860.
