Tsao Kuo Chiu, who is a patron saint of theatrical profession, is one of the Eight Immortals.
Here he is depicted as a porcelain model of a man, standing straight on an octagonal base, wearing a court head-dress and official dragon robe, holding his emblems of a pair of castanets in his left hand. The bottom with a stamped mark of the potter's name. Age: Chinese, Qing Dynasty, circa 19th century.
