Han Dynasty, Rare Chinese Pottery Kneeling Court Lady

Rare Han painted pottery court lady with nice facial expression and removable head, kneeling elegantly with layered tight-fitting robes, showing her feet at the back, original red, black and white pigments remaining. The flat body clad in bell-bottomed robe is characteristic of figurines from Han period.

In the past, the hands were made from wood. However, due to long time underground, so the wood could not survive.

Age: China, Han Dynasty, circa B.C. 206 - A.D. 220
Measurement: Height 51.4 C.M. / Width 25 C.M.
Condition: Well-preserved old burial condition overall with some amount of soil adherings (some abrasions and wearings on the piece due to the long burial time underground). Please refer to the enlargement photos for more details.
