A fine Liao petal shaped dish with crisply moulded foliate decorated interior under a transparent glaze. The glaze on the exterior falls short of the base to reveal the buff earthenware body.. There are three stilt marks on the interior and small areas of iridescence. There are a few minute frits on the rim only. This piece was sold by Bluett in the 1960’s to Mrs. Beryl Ingelis (Lady Beryl Mischon) of Camden Hill. Liao Dynasty 10th c.

A Chinese ‘hu’ shaped vase decorated with red enamel dragons on a yellow florally incised graviata ground. Republic period. A well painted vase with trefoil and gilt decorated rim with lappets and key fret decoration at the foot. The interior of the vase and base are painted in turquoise enamel. There is a six character Qianlong seal mark in red enamel within the foot rim. It is in perfect condition and the piece is in perfect condition and the enamels and gilding are not rubbed.
