A rare Japanese Arita inscribed apothecary bottle. 17th Century. This bottle, decorated with birds on flowering branches in under glaze blue, has the initials P.D.R. painted within a wreath. This was probably made for a director of the East India Company. There is a small restored chip on the rim. Height:- 26.5 cm.
A Japanese blue and white 'five sun' dish, Arita in Nabeshima style decorated with fruiting branches. Diameter 15.3 cm Height 4.4 cm. Diameter of foot 8.2 cm. 18th Century.
