| DESCRIPTION: A fine example of an English Georgian sweetmeat glass constructed of lead/flint glass. The double ogee bowl is panel moulded with an everted rim above two collars. The stem is a teared six-sided moulded pedestal stem with round shoulders and basal collaring standing on a moulded and domed folded foot. Bearing in mind the skill that goes into making this type of sweetmeat glass it is amazing that, compared to similarly constructed drinking glasses, they are relatively only a fraction of the cost... one of the unexplainable aberrations of the antique glass trade. DIMENSIONS: The glass is 6" tall, the bowl 4" and the foot 3 1/4". CONDITION: There are no condition issues. | ||
