|An impressive early Georgian champagne glass constructed from a wonderfully dark and unctuous batch of lead crystal metal. The double ogee bowl has an everted lip and is supported on a triple collar. There is a very small (1/16”) shallow burst air bubble on the outside of the lower half of the bowl. The stem is comprised of a triple annulated knop above an inverted baluster knop and a cushion basal knop standing on a conical folded foot with broken pontil mark. The glass measures just under 6 inches tall with a bowl diameter of 3 ¼ inches and a foot of 3 1/16 inches. This fine glass is in excellent condition and displays the normal wear expected in a glass of this age.|
