Ron Hayes Pearson "Vision" Modernist Sterling Flatware
Vintage modernist sterling silver flatware designed by Ronald Hayes Pearson, for International silver, circa 1959. Presented is a complete service for 8, consisting of 8 knives, 8 dinner forks, 8 salad forks, 8 soup spoons and 8 desert spoons. Ron Pearson 1924-1997, was a major figure in the American metalsmithing field creating jewelry, flatware and working on many institutional commisions as well. He studied and taught at RIT. It was there in 1959, along with John Prip and Franz Wildenhain, that Shop One was born. It was the first retail outlet exclusively selling handcrafted work in Rochester, NY.
