This brilliantly decorated English dish of almost 10-1/2 inches in diameter is in superb condition. Under-glaze blue is lavishly supported by over-glaze enamels in olive and other green tones, yellow and rouge-de-fer, and finely executed gilt highlights. Circa 1830.

In superb condition, the set of six elaborate plates bears the early mark of Mason's Patented Ironstone, and is decorated with an elaborate chinoiserie design of pheasants in a fantasy landscape. Colors and gilding are lavish and each plate retains a sticker indicating that it was purchased at Boston's exclusive Shreve, Crump and Lowe. English, circa 1830.

Deceptively heavy at 23 Troy ounces, this superb object is finely designed and detailed. Manufactured by Towle Silversmiths around 1910, and marketed by Theodore Starr of New York City, it is approximately 9-1/4 inches in diameter and 6-1/2 inches tall to the top of its handsome swing handle. Monumental treatise by Bizot, Amsterdam, 1689, on the large output of medallions struck in Renaissance Holland, with engravings of hundreds of examples, in three volumes, including the large supplement of 1690, with an addendum describing and illustrating the tomb of William of Orange in Delft. The books are in healthy condition, retaining most of their original, gold-tooled leather binding.

First edition of an important text on map-making and architectural and landscaping rendering, it is profusely illustrated with 12 fold-out plates, most of them hand-colored. Condition is superb for a volume of this age, with only minor fading and flaws -- even the silk bookmark is intact.

This handsome 1907 product of Buffalo Pottery is elaborately decorated with under glaze blue designs relating to our first president – both a rendition of the Gilbert Stuart portrait and one of him on horseback – as well as Mount Vernon and replica of his signature in an arabesque border. It is in excellent condition, with only slight crackling in border areas of the glaze and light wear to the gilded edges. Approximately 7-3/4 inches high and 7-1/2 inches in diameter at the handle.
