It bears the hallmark of The Thomae Company and reflects the quality that company produced. American, 1920's. Approximately 1-1/2 inches to the top of its ivory button and 2-1/8 inches in diameter.

Carved from one solid piece of lindenwood, this handsome Russian Modernism rabbit has chip-carved details . The main figure draws back to reveal a hiding place sunk into the plinth. Circa 1920. In excellent condition, with a natural shellac finish, the delightful piece is approximately 4-3/8 inches long by 4-1/4 inches high by 1-7/8 inches deep.

Highly detailed and finely finished, these heavily gilded tiebacks are excellent in detail and execution. They are heavy in construction and could even be used as door handles. The reticulated cage of laurels forming the central boss reveal the gilding below, each element detachable for the other for cleaning. French, early Twentieth Century. Serene in meditation, Buddha sits upon a high-relief lotus with petals glazed in the prussian blue that is one of the signature colors of Kutani porcelain. Buddha’s elegant black robe is decorated in a lustrous black glaze that imitates fine brocade by its contrasting matte and gloss finishes. Alive with bold designs of flower-filled jardinieres and tall stands earing incense burners, this deep bowl is enameled in red and green on underglaze blue, with highlingts of gilding. There is central design of bamboo surrounded by borders; the outer side show a dragon with two pheonixes flying among flames. Below, there is a stylized cloud band above a foot decorated with noughts and crosses. Japanese, late Nineteenth Century, 7-1/2 inches in diameter and three inches high. Mint condition.
