| This finely executed provincial Korean byobu (floor screen) has been professionally remounted in two parts. The tranquil scene of poets enjoying a tea ceremony surrounded by attendants in a peaceful pavilion is executed in suitably muted tones highlighted by firm reds and subtle gilt details. Korea, Seventeenth/Eighteenth Century, Yi Dynasty, each of the two screens is approximately 37-1/2 inches high and 50 inches wide. (Please note: New, larger pictures have been added.) | ||||||||||||||
