This unusual jade (jadeite) pendant is 2 Ό long, 2 wide (measured from the widest part) and 5/8 thick (measured from the thickest part). It is a late 19th or early 20th century product. It is carved on both sides as two double gourds (葫蘆) resting against each other. A twisted RuYi (如意) scepter with LingZhi (靈芝) ends and a branch of flower blossom are leaning over them. This pair of carved ivory seals is an early 20th century product. They are 1 7/16 high and 1 square. They are carved as a pair of reclining lions (or Foo dogs) holding globes. Seals such as these are called phrase seals. Usually seals are for names, dates, collections or phrases; phrase seals are the most interesting. This rectangular grayish jade (nephrite) plaque is 1 Ύ long, 2 3/4 wide and 3/16 thick. It is a late 19th century product. It is carved as a dragon in the center, two flower blossoms and two leaves are on the four corners and a curly pattern swirls around the dragon. Though it is a thin piece, it was carved very skillfully and carefully into a two layered object. Aside from a tiny chip on one side, it is in great condition.
