Gelatin silver print from the original glass plate (17,7 x 23,8 cm) detained by the Guimet Museum Archives. Mounted on card and numeroted 9/30 with a stamp from the Guimet museum in Paris. Charles Nouette (1869-1910) was the official photographer of the French archeological mission in Central Asia led by the sinologist and scholar Paul Pelliot (1878-1945) from 1906 to 1909. For Charles Nouette, to receive the agreement of the mandarin to shoot this portrait photograph expresses the official character of the French archeological mission. Excellent condition. | |
