Rare find in this glazed terra-cotta piece created during the early years of the factory of Rasmus Peter Ipsen (1815-1860), with the mark of 1850-1870. C Skrękkelig Hus Bas - Lettelse Plaque af Peter Ipsen. Ipsen was a master thrower and opened his factory in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1843. Early 20th Century Dresden (signed in underglaze blue on base)bowl, with the 1918-forward mark of Carl Thieme, handpainted inside and outside with flowers of pink, orange, lavender, and blue. Many hand-formed flowers all around both ends of the bowl, and tiny blue raised flowers cover the base.
