Documented, made in 1900 (see photo), this beautiful, delicate Bohemian Vase was made by Josephinenhutte, in Schrieberhau, Riesengebirge, in Central Europe. Seltener Böhmischer Josephinenhutte Emaillierter Kunst-Glas-Vase. The glass house, itself, was established in 1842 by Count Leopold Schaffgotsch, and later, in the early 20th century, merged with the firm of Fritz Heckert (see our Heckert goblet Item no. 3496). Blown glass, antique crystal compote by Pickard, attributed. Pickard, one of our porcelain-decorating studios, in America, did decorate glass from time-to-time; however, we cannot guarantee this to have been decorated by Pickard as there is no mark. The "laurel" gold etching, however, was definitely a Pickard pattern.
