Precious pair of English Mouthblown Art Glass Vases, attributed to Stevens & Williams, Stourbridge, England, blue cased rims and neck, over creamy white glass which appears custard-yellow in some lighting. The thorned handles have an opalescent fire when held to the light. Some of the raised gilding remains on the front floral pattern, but most of the gilding has worn away, revealing the still attractive under-enamel in an amethyst color. Classic shape in this lovely Bristol, England art glass vase dramatically handpainted with vermillion fuschias, and accent leaves in green and blue. Painted on front and verso, and accented with gilt. Late 19th Century blown glass Horn Vase rising from a brass Ram's-head mask, which rests on a lightly veined marble slab base.
