Pair of great old, still life, lobstering paintings, oil on canvas, Atlantic, Northeast U.S. Coastal paintings, one signed "Russo," the other unsigned although undoubtedly by the same artist. Could be artist-illustrator, Alexander Peter Russo (1922- ), New York and New Jersey, although this is merely an unsubstantiated suggestion. An exquisite little painting, in a lovely 19th century frame. The piece measures 1.50" x 1.25" (3.81 x 3.17 cm) image, and 2.25" x 1.75" (5.71 x 4.44 cm) to the outside of the metal frame. European.
