Early 20th Century Italian Gold Leaf Shrine Shelf with red velveteen backing. It appears a new back was added to the piece at some point as it is not original to the shelf. Shelf measures 13" (33.02 cm) long, 3.75" (9.53 cm) wide, and the platform, itself, is 4.25" x 2.50" (10.80 x 6.35 cm). An exquisite treasure is likely from the village of Palekh in Russia, one of four villages where the ancient fairytales are painted onto boxes. The miniature painting is well known, as a "troika," a three-horse drawn sleigh or carriage. Early 1900s Venetian hanging Crystal Light Fixture. Four gold-colored metal "harp & scroll" flat rods make up the basic shape of this beautiful fixture; each of these is sandwiched between Venetian crystal in the same shape, which is held on by clear plastic rosettes. Wood Box Handpainted in Dutch floral, Tole style, on lid and all four sides; beautifully carved feet, and serpentine shape of box. 7.75" x 5.5" x 2.5" (19.68 x 13.97 x 6.35 cm). Scattered wear scratches to the lid painting, and through the gilding to the gesso; paper-velvet lining has a tear, right side near back. Tastefully hand-carved golden Florentine wall Mirrors, in tulip, grape, and leaf motif; mid-20th Century. Each apx. 11.75" x 21" x 1" thick (29.84 x 53.34 x 2.54 cm). "Made in Italy" stamped in black on each frame back, and burned into the wood is Roman logo of "Palladio, Hand Carved In Italy." Rare find. 1950s clear Acrylic corkscrew Umbrella Stand, measuring about 22" tall, 11" diameter base, 8" diameter top. Thin acrylic bucket in base catches drips from umbrellas. Bear in mind that the stand can move (as a spring) when handled, and because of its unique design, it is not perfectly vertical from every angle.
