Small, heavy, light patina bronze lion in warning position, unsigned, measures 5.50" (13.97 cm) long, 1.25" (3.17 cm) wide, 2.875" (7.30 cm) tall. Appears to be sand-cast which could indicate it is quite old, although we are most comfortable with the claim of "antique," knowing that this piece came from a collector of 17th-19th Century lions. Delightful 17" Bronze Statue of Young Woman carrying Basket. With braced footing, she reaches up to her hair as a stong wind blows her way, catching the basket, her dress, and scarf. We find no signature, nor foundry mark; the felt base cover has not been removed. 5.50" (13.97 cm) diameter base, 17" (43.18 cm) overall height.
