| Charming Venetian Art Glass Vase from Murano, Italy, early 20th Century. The well shaped vase is made up of soft shadow ribbing, both the body and the foot. Clear, gold-included, tool-worked rigaree decorates four sides of the vase, and the rim of the attached foot. The entire vase is richly embellished with gold. Sharp pontil, center base. Condition is excellent, with only original manufacturing anomalies including an area on the rim where the molten glass overlapped (pictured), and the top of one vertical rigaree where the uppermost platform folded into the ribbon instead of standing erect (pictured). Neither of these anomalies affects appearance or value, and they are virtually unnoticeable unless pointed out, as well as being quite common in Italian glass. It measures 6.50" (16.51 cm) tall, 1.375 (3.49 cm) rim diameter, 2.75" (6.98 cm) diameter foot. c. 1900-1920. $10 US Shipping. | |||||||||
