| Wood Box Handpainted in Dutch floral, Tole style, on lid and all four sides; beautifully carved feet, and serpentine shape of box. 7.75" x 5.5" x 2.5" (19.68 x 13.97 x 6.35 cm). Scattered wear scratches to the lid painting, and through the gilding to the gesso; paper-velvet lining has a tear, right side near back. Unmarked, although we believe it to have been made in Italy, perhaps Florence. c. 1940. $10 US Shipping. | |||||||||
