| Very desirable pair of clear, floriform, Art Nouveau Bud Vases, each with five applied round, prunt cartouches, which are dotted with glistening, jewel-like, emerald green center cabochons. Attached to and running the full length of the vase, is a "stem" at the base of each button. The rims are gently crimped to complete the flower form as well as establish the recognizable art nouveau styling. Each measures 6.25" (15.87 cm) tall, 3.25" (8.25 cm) rim diameter, 2.25" (5.71 cm) foot diameter. In overall excellent condition, both showing miniscule bubble strings within the glass, as well as waviness, typical of mouthblown glass of this time period; and both having some slight cloudiness from mineral deposits. One shows a small internal, completely inert, annealing crack at a point where a "stem" was applied; this is no cause for concern. Maker is not known. c. 1890-1900. $16 US Shipping. | |||||||||||||
