| Antique Loetz, in Michael Powolny's very well known and popular "Tango" style using the black contrasting "line" around the rim, with applied stem, black knop, and applied foot. Unsigned, quite large "flambe" and black Tazza, with a slight melon cast -- a striking, very unusual color. This beautiful, large tazza measures a generous 10.375" (26.35 cm) diameter, 5.125" (13.01 cm) tall, and the base is 5.625" (14.28 cm) diameter. The bowl contains a few minute specks of the black glass, several non-threatening, tiny bubbles under and at the surface, and a .25" (.63 cm) tool mark near the center. The base and stem also carry a few of the same type of bubbles and debris, all of which is common and usual in early art glass, and which does not affect value, and certainly not the appearance as these anomalies are small. The tazza is in excellent, undamaged condition. c. 1915-1925. $20 US Shipping. | |||||||||
