American modern necklace and bracelet. 1952-1954. Marked Renoir in script. Geometric links of copper clad aluminum. Necklace in very good to excellent condition. Bracelet has minor wear to finish. Approximate length of necklace is 16 1/4". Approximate length of bracelet is 7 3/8". These bold and beautiful Renoir pieces were made during the Korean War. Due to dwindling copper supplies, the company substituted copper clad aluminum for solid copper. This patriotic concession to the war effort lasted for a very short time.
