An attractive Indus Valley red-painted pottery vessel with lid, the body decorated with tethered felines between pipal trees and band of caprids; lid with a frieze of caprids and cross. Hairline fracture and some loss to lid, otherwise intact with earth accretions in sections. This piece is accompanied by a positive thermoluminescence authenticity report from the University of Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia.
