Ca 1960 Woodcut print numbered 82/250, signed by Morton (Lloyd) Garchik (1929 - )and entitled, Gimpel the Fool. The matting has stains and foxing however, the print has no issues. Back label reads Association of American Artists... Cut measures approx. 12" x 15"; the frame, 20" x 15".

Stated "One of twenty" prints by illustrator and children's book publisher. Helena Chase Johnson. The print is also marked "For Norman" along with her signature. An interesting note -- Chase owned The Little Hotel by the Sea (located at the Grande Colonial Hotel in La Jolla, Calif.) The hotel boasted of having a beautiful six-passenger mahogany elevator, making it "The Littlest Hotel in the World with an Elevator."
