This is an antique Japanese porcelain plate with a hanabishi (flower-lozenge)shape and a scalloped-rim. It has the characteristic green/black “fuku” stamp (on the bottom), which was used at the Kutani kilns in the 18th and 19th centuries. As well, it has Kutani’s distinctive Persian blue-green, yellow, cobalt blue, eggplant purple, and benibana-red underglazes on a milky white porcelain clay body.
