This is an antique Japanese porcelain plate with a hanabishi (flower-lozenge)shape and a scalloped-rim. It has the characteristic green/black “fuku” stamp (on the bottom), which was used at the Kutani kilns in the 18th and 19th centuries. This is a small “old Kutani” dish, with a green and black “"kutani" mark on the underside. It dates from the mid-late 19th century. The image on the inside of the bowl is Chinese-inspired–-a viewing pavilion along the shore of a lake, next to tall pine trees, with tall mountains looming nearby. The landscape is framed with a floral motif.
