Antique paperweight with 3 floral micro-mosaics. In black marble with 3 Roman micro-mosaics rounds. The micro-mosaics, in light & dark grey background, depict roses and tulips. 4.4 (8 cm) x in 3.2 (8 cm). Provenance : The Princely House of Thurn and Taxis (German: Das Fürstenhaus Thurn und Taxis) is a German family that was a key player in the postal (mail) services in Europe in the 16th century and is well known as owners of breweries and builders of countless castles. In the lower side there is the nameplate with the monogram S.T.E. (St. Emmeram castle) inventoried with the number 75.
