A POLISH BRASS HANUKAH LAMP PROBABLY DANZIG, EARLY 19TH CENTURY The pierced armorial backplate supported by lions Jay Weinstein: A Collector's Guide to Judaica, Thames & Hudson, 1985, illustrates a very similar lamp, plate 166. The backplate is of the town arms of Danzig, except for the substitution of a candelabrum for two crosses.

Very rare because of the uncommon small size, probably a gift by for the bride. 13.5 cm long, the vellum is 4 cm high, highly detailed filigree work, the upper part in a crown shape with a knob at the top. The lid of the scroll inscribed with Hebrew letters "David ben Benjamin Aryeh.

Important Jewish Silver “Besam” (Spices container) Rome 1747-1787 Silversmith: Giovanni Felice Sanini 14 cm high, 8.3 cm diameter. Marked with Vatican and Silversmith marks on the lid of both pieces. Elegant spherical shape, finely pierced and chased with floral and foliate design, stands on a narrow stem with a circular base with other different decorations. In the peculiar tradition of the Italian silversmiths, now their wonderful artworks are becoming increasingly rare Reference: Salvatore Fornari “Gli Argenti Romani”. Roma, 1968.
